I love a rainy day at home. I get to relax with a pot of hot tea and paint. Below are done pictures from today. I have been playing with different photo apps and filters.

Williamsburg Virginia
Spending a nice morning walking around colonial Williamsburg for the art festival. Found this great little house and cute garden. I am thinking that this would make a great little painting.

Photo editing
I love iPhone photo apps. I discovered one called snapfeed that works a lot like Instagram but you don't have to post it. You can edit the photo, add filters, blur the edges, and make it look vintage. See the photo I created below.
Photo: I up the saturation, blurred the edges, and added the tilt filter for saturation.

Sail boat
I am working on a collection of small 8x10 paintings. These painting will be sold and framed. I am also going to use the paintings to make a series of greeting cards. I have been trying to think of ways that I can use my art work besides paintings. Any suggestions besides greeting card sets

French harbor
This my newest painting durning the process stages. Notice the dark spot on the far right, this is where I spilt my bottle of black ink. I believe in fixing mistakes and making them part of the painting. I still have a lot of work to do but will keep you updated.

Painted pillow
This is my first attempt painting with fabric paint. I have learned that it takes more fabric paint then I thought. My next attempt will be block printing.

French Harbor
The colors of the houses in the French harbor is the inspiration for my next painting. I find inspiration in the colors, patterns, textures, boats, buildings, and even the water.
Lily Pad
I am so close to finishing this painting but I need a brake. After looking at it for two weeks it is time to step back and freshen my eyes. I still have to decide what I am going to paint on the land. Any suggestions? What do you like about the painting?
